Procurement of goods and services in India is increasingly being done online through eProcurement systems in various states, including Rajasthan. This article aims to provide insights into the Rajasthan government e-tenders process, covering registration, finding relevant tenders, and applying through the Rajasthan eProcurement portal.

Registering for Rajasthan tenders

To bid for tenders released by the Rajasthan government, you must first register as a bidder on the eProcurement Rajasthan platform. The registration process is straightforward and similar to other state tender portals like Jharkhand eTender portal, Kerala online tender portal, and Maharashtra eProcurement portal.

Before starting the registration process, ensure you obtain a digital signature certificate (DSC) Class III from Certified Authorities (CAs).

Here's the process to register as a bidder on the Rajasthan eProcurement portal:

1. Visit the Rajasthan eProcurement portal's home page and click on 'Online Bidder Enrollment.'

2. Fill in all the required details in the registration form.

3. Click 'Submit' after completing all the necessary information.

4. Upon successful submission, you can log in to the Rajasthan eProcurement portal using your credentials.

5. Next, log in and map your DSC for secure authentication.

Finding Rajasthan government tenders

The process of applying for eTenders in Rajasthan begins with finding relevant tenders. You can use tender websites like Tata nexarc or visit the Rajasthan eProcurement portal directly at https://eproc.rajasthan.gov.in/.

On the portal, you have options to search for tenders by location, organisation, or classification.

1. Search Rajasthan eTender by location:

- Click on 'Tender by location' on the home page.

- Enter your preferred location (e.g., Jaipur, Jodhpur, etc.).

- Enter the captcha and click 'Submit' to get a list of active tenders in your chosen location.

- Click on each tender to view details.

2. Search Rajasthan eTender by organisation:

- On the home page, click on 'Tender by organisation.'

- Choose a tender category from 'Goods,' 'Service,' or 'Works.'

- Select a relevant product category from the available options.

- Specify the tender expiry date.

- Enter the captcha to see a list of organisations and the number of active tenders based on your filters.

- Click on the number in front of the organisation (e.g., 'Rajasthan Council of School Education 35') to view the active tenders.

3. Search by classification:

- If you prefer applying for specific categories of tenders, click on 'Search by classification.'

- Choose your preferred classification from the list.

- Enter the captcha to view a list of tenders matching your chosen classification.

Applying for Rajasthan eTenders

Once you find the relevant tender on the eProcurement Rajasthan portal, follow these steps to apply:

1. Open the tender and download all tender documents, which typically include a Tender Notice, BOQ, Terms and Conditions, etc.

2. Carefully review the Tender Notice for essential information, scope of work, tender schedule, eligibility criteria, and required documents.

3. Prepare and upload the necessary documents, ensuring that you don't modify the BOQ template for Rajasthan eTendering. Only fill in the required columns to avoid bid rejection.

4. Pay attention to the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) requirements and deadlines. Deposit the EMD and submit the original copy to the Tender Authorities.

5. To finalise your bid submission, click on the 'Freeze bid button,' as failing to do so will invalidate your bid.

Leveraging eTendering for business growth

Participating in the eTendering process of Rajasthan is an excellent way to expand your business. Remember, geographical location doesn't limit eTendering opportunities. You can apply for tenders in various states and industries as long as you meet the eligibility criteria and the tender aligns with your business capabilities.

Moreover, you can explore opportunities in PSUs, ministries, and government departments like Public Works Department (PWD), Railways, and defense sector tenders, among others.
